Rangers transfer news roundup as Josh Maja drops future hint while 3 clubs join Haji Wright signing race

It's set to be a busy summer for Michael Beale with planning well underway for next season at Rangers.

Fans are keen to put this season behind them after Beale failed to bring a piece of silverware to Ibrox during his first campaign to step into the hot seat, with the task of chasing Celtic top of the agenda next term. Kieran Dowell looks set to arrive from Norwich City, but with the likes of Alfredo Morelos, Ryan Kent and Allan McGregor there will be plenty more new faces needed before the new term kicks off.

A name that has been doing the rounds is Bordeaux frontman Josh Maja. The Nigerian international signed for Bordeaux in a £3.5 million deal four years ago, but after an impressive campaign in Ligue 2 - where he has netted 16 goals so far this term - the 24-year-old is out of contract at the end of the season.

He snapped up the Player of the Month award for the French second tier - and speaking to the club website hinted that his future at the club could be based on promotion to the top flight. The club currently sit in the promotion places - but hold a narrow three point lead over third-placed Metz.

Asked about the award, he admitted he was concentrating on reaching Ligue 1 next term: I think it's thanks to the coach, the staff, my teammates but also thanks to the fans and the efforts I made during the season. I'm happy to score regularly and help the team.

"However, for me the most important thing is to help the club find the place that suits it: in Ligue 1. I am essentially focused on this objective, so if we reach the rise, it is at this moment- there that I would be fully happy and satisfied."

Reports in England also suggest that Rangers are keen on signing Karlan Grant from English Championship side West
