Rangers transfer news bulletin as Ianis Hagi ally addresses 'delicate' Beale situation and Filip Helander breaks silence

Former Romania boss Ilie Dumitrescu has claimed that Ianis Hagi is in a "delicate" situation at Rangers after being left unhappy by the lack of game time under Michael Beale.

Pundit Dumitrescu has stated that during talks with Ianis' father Gheorghe - with the former Real Madrid and Barcelona legend painting a bleak picture of Hagi Jr's time at Ibrox despite only penning a new deal keeping him at the club until 2026 earlier this year. Speaking to Digi Sport: "Mentally it's extraordinary, you know. Of course, he can't be happy with this status, but he said that he is at the coach's disposal.

"It's a delicate subject, you can't talk too much about it even with Ianis. He wants to prove himself, to become the player he was before the damn injury. Let's not forget that we could also have a player in the Europa League final if the injury didn't intervene. He's very strong mentally."

Elsewhere, free agent Filip Helander has spoken about his desire to win a contract at Malmo after leaving Ibrox last summer. The 30-year-old had to watch from the stands as Rangers flourished in the Europa League and won the Scottish Cup and was unable to play a minute of football last term before his contract in Govan expired.
