Luuk de Jong unleashes Rangers fury as PSV captain 'kicks door off hinges' in Champions League tunnel flashpoint

Furious PSV Eindhoven skipper Luuk de Jong reportedly booted a door off its hinges at Ibrox stadium in frustration at half time as the Dutch side trailed Rangers.

Abdallah Sima scored a peach of a goal late in the first half to give Michael Beale’s men a precious lead at the break in the first leg of their Champions League playoff tie. And TNT Sports presenter Emma Dodds reported as the teams emerged form the tunnel for the start of the second half that former Newcastle United and Barcelona striker De Jong - who was later on the scoresheet in the game - lashed out in anger. Dodds said: "PSV captain Luuk de Jong at the half time whistle went up the tunnel and kicked a door off its hinges."

Former Rangers Kenny Miller, also on duty for the broadcaster, joked that the Ibrox club should be sending the bill in the direction of the 32-year-old. And fellow ex Light Blues marksman and strike legend Ally McCoist joked that he could get some advice from Terry Butcher, the former Rangers and England captain who famously kicked dressing room door of its hinges after a Scottish Cup defeat to Celtic at Parkhead in 1990.
