Rangers transfer news bulletin as Connor Goldson 'bidding war' raises alarm while Relebohile Mofokeng warned

Rangers could reportedly see the list of potential suitors for Connor Goldson drop this summer if a "bidding war" breaks out.

Philippe Clement is in the midst of a major squad overhaul this summer with the club reportedly willing to listen to offers for several key stars - with talk of an exit for stalwart Goldson failing to go away with former boss Steven Gerrard putting the defender on his Saudi Pro League shopping list along with James Tavernier as he looks to mount a title tilt in the Middle East next term. However, rumours have been swirling of interest closer to home in recent days.

Birmingham City have been tipped as a potential destination for the Englishman should he leave theLight Blues this summer. The Blues are expected to spend big during this window in order to secure an immediate return to the English Championship following investment from Tom Brady's consortium last term.

It is also noted that the club would be alarmed if a bidding war with Gerrard's cash-rich Saudi side broke out and "probably not" pursue a deal.

And while Goldson flew out to the Netherlands for pre-season training under Clement, one notable absentee was Sam Lammers. After a disappointing first six months at Ibrox, the Dutchman found success in the second half of the campaign with FC Utrecht.

While the club had expressed their interest in making the loan permanent, it appears they have now moved on after snapping up frontman Noah Ohio. AZ Alkmaar are reportedly set to launch a £2.5million bid - which could leave the club leading the race for a deal
