Reports suggest that Brighton head of recruitment Sam Jewell is on the Ibrox radar with The Daily Mail stating that the English Premier League are fearful their signing strategy could be "disrupted" by the Scottish Premiership side. The 34-year-old has previously been pursued by English clubs and opted to remain at the Amex and Rangers would need to put together a "convincing package" that would give Jewell "confidence they can challenge Celtic's investment in new talent", claims the report.
Rangers chief executive officer James Bisgrove has previously stated the the Light Blues would consider an appointment at the end of the summer window following Michael Beale's recruitment drive.
