Michael Beale looks beyond Rangers as axed boss brands next decision 'the most important' with credentials laid bare

Axed Michael Beale has declared that "his next decision will be the most important one" after being shown the door by Rangers.

The former coach under Steven Gerrard saw his Ibrox reign ended after less than a year in the hot seat following the 3-1 defeat at home to Aberdeen proved to be the final straw for the club board, who had watched the team fall seven points behind Celtic in the title race before the Scottish Premiership season had even reached October. Kevin Muscat and Philippe Clement look to be battling it out to replace Beale before the league campaign comes out of cold storage against Hibs on October 21.

And while the Ibrox board are looking to the future, Beale also looks to be eyeing his next opportunity after his ill-fated tenure as Rangers main man in the dugout. He has floated a long list of accolades on his LinkedIn as he looks to land another shot at management.

Beale wrote: "For the first time in 20yrs, I have the time to reflect and visit, learn and watch others at work. From 2003 to 2023, Chelsea FC to Liverpool FC, São Paulo FC, Liverpool FC, Rangers FC, Aston Villa FC, QPR FC, Rangers FC I’ve moved immediately from one role to the other without a break between roles. 6 unique and elite clubs and an amazing journey to this point.

"The next two months, I plan to visit Brazil again to visit some friends, then onto the MLS to catch the playoffs and finally making that promised trip to Japan to see the J League up close. I hope to reconnect with lots of familiar faces on my travels.
