Rangers penalty paranoia sees Ibrox diehard make astonishing Hotline claim in face of Premiership scandal jibe

Christmas time, Mistletoe and Whine, Hotliners moaning all the time.

Yup, the season of goodwill seems to have bypassed the Scottish football landscape with there being no let-up in the conspiracy theories regarding Rangers and penalties. There was also a difference of opinion over whether Kevin van Veen would be the answer to Rangers' scoring problems (even if they're not actually having many problems scoring) and Gers fans were hitting back at the Old Firm away fans' ticket row.

So, let's get to it. Helen McLean, Inverness, emailed: "There is absolutely no doubt left in the Rangers penalty scandal. Andrew Adams, Kirkcaldy, said: "I wish some referee, any referee, would just give Rangers' opponents a penalty, I'm absolutely sick fed up reading about this. It's pathetic, especially opposing managers moaning about it when they're not even trying to win the game, putting 10 men behind the ball, spoiling the game, wasting time when the games just kicked off, but if they moan about not getting a penalty, they think it'll get them out of jail."

Robert Livingstone, Palm Beach, emailed:
