Rangers injury tracker for Celtic as Michael Beale gives updates on 4 key stars with derby day looming

Rangers boss Michael Beale has given Borna Barisic the green light to face Celtic in the first derby showdown of the new campaign.

Rangers will look to pile the pressure on Celtic in the first Scottish Premiership clash between the Glasgow giants of the new campaign - with Brendan Rodgers men winless in their last two games while failing to find the net in the clashes with Kilmarnock and St Johnstone. It's also a key game for Beale who will look to bounce back from the Champions League exit at the hands of a rampant PSV Eindhoven in midweek.

And the Ibrox squad appears to be at almost full strenght for the showdown with doubts over Borna Barisic cleared up by the boss. He also talked up the fitness of Kemar Roofe and Tom Lawrence as the duo look to become regulars in the starting line-up after lenghty lay-offs.

However, Kieran Dowell faces a late decision having missed the midweek clash in Eindhoven with a knee injury. Beale said: "Barisic will be fine for the weekend after a scan. Roofe and Lawrence both in a fantastic place and in the squad. Dowell has the slight issue with his knee he is recovering from so will need to wait and see on that one."
