Michael Beale declares his Rangers future is NOT in doubt as furious Ibrox fans 'heard loud and clear'

Bullish Rangers boss Michael Beale insists he does not feel his job is under threat after talks with the Ibrox board.

Beale has faced criticism after a lacklustre start to the campaign with the Light Blues which has seen the club crash out of the Champions League with a heavy defeat to PSV Eindhoven as well as slip four points behind Celtic in the early rounds of the Scottish Premiership after derby defeat. There was a furious reaction from the Ibrox support at the full-time whistle after the 1-0 loss to their rivals - only intensifying the scrutiny on the Londoner.

But Beale states that he has held discussions with the board about the the start to the season and remains confident over his position. Ahead of the clash with St Johnstone the boss was quizzed on if he had been given "assurances" over his future. He responded: "Listen, I don’t need assurances. I am part of plan in terms of where we are going as a club. It is something that I am fully involved in and aware of and ultimately a football manager needs to win games of football.

"The last two we didn't win and we need to get back to it. We've got seven games in 22 days not so there is a good opportunity for us to do that."

The boss was then pressed on if he felt is his job was in "peril", before continuing: "No, listen I am disappointed with the results just like everybody else. I think that sometimes small margins can make a big difference in a game, and in the last one I think that was the case.

"Ultimately you need to win games. Last year we won a lot and didn't come away with any silverware so this year it's about silverware. There has been a lot of change around me and in my time as manager here from within the club and on the playing side. We have not
