Rangers goalkeeper replaces Motherwell No.1 in Scotland squad sparking injury fears for decimated Steelmen
Motherwell goalkeeper Liam Kelly has dropped out of the Scotland squad, sparking fears the shot-stopper could be added to the Fir Park side's extensive injury list.
Boss Stuart Kettlewell has had to contend with losing strikers Conor Wilkinson, Mika Biereth and Jon Obika to long-term injuries in recent weeks, while defender Pape Souare is also out alongside long-term absentee Calum Butcher.
And now his first-choice goalkeeper could be next in the treatment room, although no further details on the reason for his withdrawal have been revealed by Scotland or his club.
Kelly has been replaced in the national squad by Rangers goalkeeper Robby McCrorie.
Scotland face Cyprus in a EURO 2024 qualifier on Friday night and then face England at Hampden in a 150th heritage anniversary friendly match on Tuesday night.
Despite having a host of players out injured, The Steelmen are joint-top of the Premiership table with Celtic after a four-game unbeaten start.
