Rangers fans stick the Celtic signing boot in as Hotline transfer gurus sniff out 'desperation' behind recruitment drive

Celtic fans aren’t happy with their lot. Rangers supporters can’t wait for the Old Firm clash on Sunday. It doesn’t take long for the Scottish football world to turn upside down and right now, the Parkhead support is anything but head over heels in love with how its club has gone about its business.

David Bryce, Troon, said: “The current Celtic board are inept and a disgrace to the manager and the support. We need change and have done for years now. We are the only club in Europe who would have reappointed Lawwell after he failed miserably as a chief executive! His son has no clue about football, yet is buying the players. The only way we will get changes the club badly needs, is if we refuse to buy season tickets next year. I, and my family, will definitely not be renewing after this season. The club I love is a shambles!”

Marcus Stewart emailed: “I see Celtic are now looking at loans. Something isn’t right - it reeks of desperation.” And Jack Armstrong, Bathgate, made a plea to Brendan Rodgers: “Dear Brendan, why would you want to change Kyogo’s style of play when he has been outstanding these past two seasons? Don’t change the way we play. Just play the Celtic way.”

John Steel added: “I don't understand any Celtic fans that thought Kieran Tierney would come back to Parkhead so soon. He’s still a young man who is far too good a player for the Scottish league. He will come home one day, but not while he’s earning so much cash down south.”
