Rangers AGM 2023 LIVE as Ibrox overspill back-up plan in effect with Edmiston House rammed for big address

It's been a chilly few days in Glasgow but the Rangers board could be feeling the heat inside New Edmiston House as they face the club's shareholders.

The Ibrox chiefs will answer questions on the performance in the last 12 months both on and off the park and neither have been particularly great.

At the last AGM Michael Beale took to the stage at the SEC Armadillo shortly after replacing Giovanni van Bronckhorst in the Ibrox hot-seat. But the Englishman didn't even last long enough in the job to return for this year's event.

That in itself is a sign of how things have gone on the park. Philippe Clement replaced the ex QPR boss and the Belgian has at least brought a bit of stability and hope that there could be brighter times ahead, starting with the Viaplay Cup final next month which could see Rangers lift their first piece of silverware in 19 months and only their third since the club completed their journey back to the top tier of Scottish football.

It’s fair to say it’s a bit tight as punters are squeezed into seats. With 40 minutes still to go until proceedings get underway it’s a safe bet the overspill area might need to be opened up.

Grub and a winter warmer are on offer but it will take more than a sweet treat to appease some fans who reckon it's high time the club own the multiple gripes which have gripped the fanbase.
