Moaning Michael Beale sees Rangers gripes ripped apart as Simon Jordan tells him he ‘made a fool of himself’ at Ibrox

Simon Jordan has told Michael Beale to "shut up" about his workload moan at Rangers and that he made a "fool of himself" in Glasgow.

The outspoken pundit has torn Beale's argument of being "pulled in different places" at Ibrox to shreds after he claimed on his arrival as the new Sunderland boss that was he was glad to be the Black Cats new head coach and not in charge of "the whole football club". It was a thiny-veiled dig as they come with the Englishman's torrid time in Glasgow not looked back on fondly by the Ibrox support, and Jordan reckons the proof is in the pudding with what Philippe Clement has already achieved in his ten weeks in post.

The Londoner was heavily criticised for his less-than-conventional approach to the media in Scotland, something Jordan believes led him in to making a 'fool of himself' at Ibrox. He's telling Beale to keep his trap shut and that the brutal reality is that he simply wasn't good enough for the job.

When asked by co-host Jim White what Beale needs to do to impress him, he told Talksport: "I don't think he'll be bothered about impressing me. He's got a great opportunity, Sunderland are seventh in the league." White interjected saying: "It got to him a bit he used to message me when you were digging him out."

Jordan added: "That's up to him. It's background noise. He should be focused on what he's doing hence the reasons why he didn't do well at Rangers, perhaps he wasn't focused enough or good enough. We've seen he can get a side together with QPR."
