Randy Orton: Another worrying update emerges from Dave Meltzer on his WWE status

Randy Orton is proving to be a cause for concern for higher-ups within WWE right now, it has been claimed.

Orton hasn’t wrestled for WWE since May of this year, with reports from Fightful Select at the time noting that he was unlikely to be back until 2023 due to injury.

However, a new report from Dave Meltzer has revealed that there are people within WWE right now who are rather worried about Orton’s status.

At the time of his injury, reports from Sean Ross Sapp stated that Randy’s back was in seriously bad shape, with it being likely that the former WWE Champion would be out of action for several months.

We haven’t seen Randy on WWE TV in over four months, and a new report from the Wrestling Observer has claimed that there is “a lot of concern” from within the company about his status.

There is a lot of concern regarding Orton’s back injury and its severity.

There’s no word on how Orton’s recovery is going, but the report from Dave Meltzer certainly makes it seem like the 42-year-old is facing some issues as he prepares to get back into the ring.

At the time, it was unclear whether or not Orton would require surgery for his back, and it’s still not confirmed whether or not he needs to go under the knife.

In slightly more positive news, it seems like Becky Lynch is going to be returning to WWE by January 2023 at the latest, with ‘The Man’ advertised to appear at the Royal Rumble.

Becky separated her shoulder at SummerSlam in July, but her recovery seems to have gone more smoothly than Orton’s, with a return now insight.
