Who has lost the most matches at WWE WrestleMania?

WrestleMania is the biggest stage in WWE, but which superstars have suffered the most losses at “The Showcase of the Immortals”?

Unfortunately for all of the men on this, they are tenured veterans of the business which means that unless you are The Undertaker, the odds are you will have stared at the lights on the grandest stage of them all a fair few times.

Getting on a WrestleMania card itself is a honour, and as Seth Rollins is showing in his MVP 2022 year, wins and losses are less important than telling a story and making an audience “feel” in professional wrestling.

It’s an interesting concept when comparing to conventional sport, so GiveMeSport takes you through the 10 wrestlers to have lost the most matches at WrestleMania…

The “Bizarre One” has the worst WrestleMania record of all time, having gone 0-7 in matches between 1996 and 2016. If you included dark marches or pre-show battle royale appearances, that would stretch to 12 but we are only counting the main show, so Goldust stays in 10th place.

Unlike Goldust, the older Hardy brother has won WrestleMania matches, notably against Jeff in 2009 and Rey Mysterio six years prior. His seven losses include iconic TLC and ladder matches with Edge and Christian and The Dudleys, which had a greater impact on his career than any standard win would have.

Shelton has competed in nine WrestleManias, winning just one match which was his first as part of Team Angle with Charlie Haas. He then lost his next eight but created memorable moments, particularly in the first ever Money in the Bank ladder match at WrestleMania 21.

Which is perhaps fitting given his perpetually underutilised role in WWE, Dolph has competed in just one singles match at WrestleMania, a loss two years ago
