Property expert shares 'gamechanger' news for anyone looking to buy a house later this year

It’s been a busy summer so far with the general election and the Euros all taking place over the past two months. Despite concern among some that the election would lead to a significant slowdown in home-moving activity, Rightmove's most recent data has shown that most people have been carrying on with their moves since the election was called.

According to Rightmove, average asking prices across the country have remained stable overall and are still 0.4 percent higher than a year ago, despite a monthly dip. The average asking price of a home in Great Britain is now £373,493 at present.

The number of sales being agreed is currently 15 percent above what it was a year ago, when the UK was approaching the peak of mortgage rates. The number of new sellers coming to market in the last four weeks is also a steady 3 percent above last year.
