Premier League fixtures: Manchester City start defence against Vincent Kompany’s Burnley, Chelsea to face Liverpool

The 2023/24 Premier League fixtures are out, with Manchester City set to begin their title defence away at Burnley on Friday August 11. The fixture pits Treble-winning City against their former captain Vincent Kompany, who guided Burnley to Premier League promotion last season. Ad Pep Guardiola’s City overhauled Arsenal in the closing weeks of last season but the Gunners built the foundations of a surprise 2022-23 Premier League title tilt on a strong start that saw them win their opening five games of the season.
