Police incident closes busy Cwmbran road in both directions - live updates

A busy road in Cwmbran has been closed in both directions due to a "police incident". The A4051, Cwmbran Drive, has been closed in both directions following a police incident, reports traffic monitoring system Inrix. The road closure is in place between the retail park, and Henllys Way.

There are currently no further details as to the cause of the incident, but the road has reportedly been closed since 9.18pm. Gwent Police tweeted: "Cwmbran Drive between the Stadium and the Lockgate Retail Park. Road is closed due to an ongoing incident. Please use an alternate route and take care on the roads."
