Rail lines blocked between Manchester Piccadilly and Stockport as emergency services rush to 'incident' - live updates
There is disruption on Greater Manchester's rail network this morning after emergency services were called to an 'incident'.
The incident took place between Manchester Piccadilly and Stockport, operator Northern said. It has led to services being delayed, cancelled, or re-routed.
"Due to the emergency services dealing with an incident between Manchester Piccadilly and Stockport the line is blocked," Northern said in a tweet on Tuesday (May 10) morning. "Services between these stations will be cancelled, delayed by up to 45 minutes or diverted via Styal."
The disruption is expected to remain until 8:30am, National Rail added in another tweet. TransPennine Express has also said its trains are affected.
