Police appeal for help to find 61-year-old man missing for more than a week

Police are appealing for help to find a missing man.

Officers are asking for the public's help to find a 61-year-old man named Basil. Police have said he is also known as Barrington.

The man has been missing from Bury New Road since September 11 at around 10am. He was last seen at St James Church, Pendleton.

The man is around five feet, seven inches tall. Police provided an image of the missing man.

In a post on Facebook, Greater Manchester Police said: "Can you help GMP find a missing man from Salford? Basil (AKA Barrington), 61 has been missing from Bury New Road on 11/09/23 (10am).

"He is around 5'7" and was last seen at St. James Church, Pendleton on 21/09/23 (1pm). Any information, please call 0161 856 2181."
