'If you see him please call 999 straight away': Urgent police appeal to find missing boy, 4, in Manchester United tracksuit

A four-year-old boy has gone missing in Blackpool, police have revealed.

Anyone who sees him has been urged to dial 999 immediately - as a major appeal for the public's help was issued by a police force. The boy has been named only as Gerald. His surname hasn't been disclosed.

Police in Lancashire said he was wearing Manchester United tracksuit bottoms.

The force hasn't revealed when or where he went missing, but it's understood to have been on Friday.

In a statement, the force said: "Have you seen four-year-old Gerald who is missing from Blackpool? Gerald is tall for his age and looks about six-years-old. He has black hair, brown eyes and a little three-lined scar on his left cheek.

"He often wears grey crocs with a striped, green trim, Manchester United Adidas tracksuit bottoms and a red navy striped Adidas puffer coat.

"Gerald also has links to Dundee in Scotland. We are doing everything we can to find him and we are now asking for your help.

If you see him please call 999 straight away. For non-immediate sightings or any information on Gerald’s whereabouts, email forcecontrolroom@lancashire.police.uk or call 101, quoting log 458 of October 6, 2023."

No further details have been revealed.
