Play-off hopefuls Faversham Town sack manager Tommy Warrilow with four games of the Isthmian South East season remaining

Play-off chasing Faversham Town have sacked boss Tommy Warrilow with just four games left this season.

The Lilywhites have slipped out of the top five after winning just one of their last six matches.

They’re six points behind fifth-placed Sittingbourne with 12 points to play for but it’s still a successful season for the Southern Counties East League champions on their return to Step 4.

It also included a run to the FA Cup third qualifying round, where Faversham lost to National League South Ebbsfleet.

Faversham chairman Gary Smart said: “This decision has been made following a difficult run of results since the start of 2026, with performances and outcomes falling below the standards expected by the club.

“The board would like to place on record its thanks to Tommy for his efforts, commitment, and professionalism during his time at the club and we all thank him for winning us promotion last season and wishes him every success in his future endeavours.

“Attention will now turn to rebuilding and planning ahead for next season, as the club looks to move forward and return to a level of performance that reflects its ambitions.

“Frannie Collin will be taking on the caretaker management role of the men’s first team until the end of the season.

“Further updates regarding the management structure will be communicated in due course.”

Warrilow, who was originally appointed in January 2024, was only halfway through a new two-year deal, which he signed last summer at Salters Lane. His final game in charge was a 1-0 Kent derby defeat at Ashford United on Good Friday.

Frannie Collin’s first game in temporary charge will be at home to Sheppey United on Easter Monday. Faversham also have trips to East Grinstead and Sevenoaks to come
