Philippe Clement reveals Rangers dressing room is LESS stressed as boss opens up on 'special' place

Philippe Clement hears a different noise at Ibrox these days as the boss admits things are more relaxed in the dressing room after the '"stressful" days prior to his reign.

Rangers are in the overtaking lane of the title race, with the chance to go top of the Premiership table for the first time this season. They'll leapfrog Celtic and hit the summit if they beat Ross County by more than two goals on Wednesday night, which would force the champions to adopt the role of chasers ahead of their home clash with Kilmarnock this Saturday.

It would be a different dynamic than either side has been used to in recent seasons. But Clement's side must get the job done first before they can start thinking about leading from the front. A proper battle for top spot has the fans excited though, and the Beelgian can feel that energy from the stands. It's quite the contrast to the toxic atmosphere that preceded his arrival as Michael Beale floundered.

"If fans are excited it is only a good thing as it gives us energy," he said. "We are only focused on the match, for sure it was a different kind of noise at games a few months back. They didn't like that one. It is much more positive now which only helps the team."

There's a more laidback atmosphere in the dressing room too, according to Clement. The need for hard work will never disappear, but gone is the stress and happy players are often successful players, who have strengthened their off-field bonds and it's showing on the park.

"I want the connection between players to be strong, it is very important to have these human relationships," said Clement. "It is a really special dressing room at the moment, it was much more stressful earlier in the season so it is important we have a lot of
