Philippe Clement Rangers press conference in full as Todd Cantwell's social media gets cursory 'check'

Philippe Clement gave his first press conference as Rangers manager on Friday afternoon as he aims to spark life into his stars ahead of a challenging campaign.

The Belgian joins Rangers with the club floundering in the title race, struggling in terms of injuries and with confidence shot in terms of finally breaking the Celtic resolve they had under Ange Postecoglou. It's by no means done and dusted in the title race yet with 30 more games to play, but it's still a huge task ahead of the Light Blues, regardless.

Trusted to turn things around, Clement has already spoken about how his spell in his first year will be a process instead of instant gratification at Ibrox - but he's gone on to mention injuries, trusting the process and, of course, social media habits after Todd Cantwell's feud continues to rage on against Chris Sutton.

Clement began: "[It's been busy, but we expected that. It's not been a full week also. It's been a week of analysing everything, getting to know everybody and their way of working, in the way I want to implement things. I've been in a building where everybody wants to work together to do the right things. It's never perfect from the beginning - that's impossible. But I see the good intentions in the staff, with the players and in the last two days international players have come back which has been a difference.

"I look forward to tomorrow to see the little seeds we've planted this week, and to see how fast they grow. I've learned a lot but not for your eyes or ears. I see a lot of good things here but I see a lot of things that we can make better. We need to focus on that, to do the things that were not good at before, to make them better.
