Paris Saint-Germain 'make decision' on Manchester United-linked midfielder and more transfer rumours

Paris Saint-Germain intend to keep hold of attacking midfielder Xavi Simons amid reported interest from Manchester United, it has been reported.

The 20-year-old recently returned to the French side from Dutch side PSV Eindhoven. The Netherlands international spent a season back in his native country after signing on a permanent deal from the French team last summer.

But PSG exercised a buy-back option in the midfielder's deal to bring him back to the French capital this year. However, Simons has not remained back at PSG for long.

He has headed out on loan to German side RB Leipzig for the upcoming 2023/24 campaign. Long-term though, PSG are clear that they see Simons' future at the Parc des Princes.

CaughtOffside reports that PSG are keen to keep hold of the midfielder for the future, and why they exercised the €6m buy-back option, amid interest from United and other big European clubs. It is intended that another season out on loan will be beneficial to his prospects in the future.

Elsewhere, The Sun reports that young United starlet Charlie Savage could be on the move this summer. It is said he is attracting interest by Championship pair Cardiff City and Rotherham United, as well as League One side Portsmouth.

Savage, son of former United trainee Robbie, spent the second half of last season out on loan at then League One side Forest Green Rovers. He has been involved in United's pre-season preparations and captained the Reds in the second half of the win over Leeds in Oslo.
