Manchester United 'interested' in signing former Barcelona defender and more transfer rumours
Manchester United are 'interested' in signing highly-rated Nice centre-back Jean-Clair Todibo before the end of this summer's transfer window.
That is according to a report by the Mail, which claims that the Reds, who face RC Lens in a friendly at Old Trafford on Saturday, have revisited their interest in the Frenchman. The Reds could look to strengthen their centre-back options before the end of the window if Harry Maguire departs.
The England international, who was recently stripped of the club captaincy, is being heavily linked with an exit ahead of the September 1 deadline. The likes of Everton and West Ham United have been credited with interest in his signature.
In the event of him moving on, it is claimed that United could turn to Todibo to strengthen their defensive options. The 23-year-old, formerly of Barcelona, joined Nice in 2021, initially on loan, and has since gone from strength-to-strength.

The defender has been linked with a move to Old Trafford in the past and the report states that he has 'come back into the reckoning'. He made 46 appearances in all competitions last season.
Todibo, who is a former French Under-21 international, has made a total of 103 appearances for Nice, scoring two goals.
Meanwhile, Leeds United are said to be 'considering' a move for United left-back Brandon Williams. That is according to a report by the Independent, which claims Whites boss Daniel Farke is keen to be reunited with the 22-year-old.
