Pack options and half-back changes - Predicted Hull FC side to face Catalans Dragons

Hull FC will be without a host of key names when they take on Catalans Dragons on Sunday evening. have seen the likes of Luke Gale, Adam Swift and Connor Wynne drop out of contention this week and it means head coach Brett Hodgson has a couple of decisions to make when it comes to selection.

However, Hodgson has been boosted by the return of Scott Taylor, who looks set to make his first appearance of the campaign following the injury he picked up in pre-season. With that in mind, Hull Live attempts to predict how the Black and Whites will look on Sunday.

The first change expected is in the outside backs with Mitieli Vulikijapani the obvious option to step into the side and start on the wing for FC. Wynne started the last game against Warrington Wolves and caught the eye but he picked up a head knock in the second half of the contest and as a result he has been ruled out of the clash.

Carlos Tuimavave looks as though he is fit enough to make his third appearance in quick succession, while Jamie Shaul should keep his spot on the wing. Josh Reynolds is the likely option to come into the side in order to replace the suspended Gale.

The stand-off dropped out of the team last Monday, but Gale’s suspension means he is expected to come back in and the pressure will be on him to impress after some poor performances of late. Hodgson is blessed with a number of options in the pack and it may just be a case of moving players around in order to manage their workloads after a heavy Easter period.

Ligi Sao and Brad Fash are in red hot form at present and they could get Hull off to a positive start in the contest before the likes of Chris Satae, Kane Evans and Taylor step off the bench. Jack Brown has been one of FC’s best this month
