Outer Banks season 4 release date, cast and episode count as Netflix hit makes huge change

The fourth season of Outer Banks is due to land on Netflix this month, with the Pogues returning with more action-packed adventures. The hit show will see the main cast all return, with some new faces due to be introduced along the way.

Chase Stokes is back as John B Routledge and Madelyn Cline is returning as Sarah Cameron, while Rudky Pankow will play JJ again, Madison Bailey will portray Kiara and Johnathan Daviss is back as Pope. Carlacia Grant is also returning as Cleo, who was introduced in season three.

While the characters will be staying the same, a new change will be being introduced. The fourth series will be released in two parts; the first five episodes will land on Netflix on 10 October, while the second instalment will be released on 7 November.

A series of new characters will be being introduced too, with it being revealed that J. Anthony Crane has been cast as Chandler Groff while Pollyanna McIntosh will play Dalia. Elsewhere, Brianna Brown has been cast as Hollis Robinson, Rigo Sacnhez as Lightner and Mia Challis as Ruthie.

It's an exciting time for the Pogues, as the last time they were on-screen, 18 months had passed since they found the fold in El Dorado. While they were still dealing with the aftermath of the deaths of Ward Cameron (Charles Esten) and Big John (Charles Halford), they still celebrated their victory.

Following the third season's 18-month flash-forward, which showed Wes Genrette's (David Jensen) proposal to the Pogues to help find Blackbeard's treasure, season four will take viewers back in time to look at the moments while led up to this offer. Once they found the gold at El Dorado, the Pogues return to the OBX and vow to lead a 'normal life'.
