Coronation Street star Channique Sterling-Brown has left fans doing a double-take after taking to social media with a sweet wedding update. The actress recently revealed she'd ditched the UK and has now shared why.

Channique, who plays Dee-Dee Bailey in the ITV soap, was seen soaking up the sun in Jamaica last week before revealing she was in the Caribbean for a wedding.

Her family comes amid a busy time of the cobbles, where she plays Dee-Dee Bailey, as Weatherfield's legal whizz discovered her fiance Joel Deering was grooming teenage girls, including Lauren Bolton, who went missing and was presumed dead.

But away from Weatherfield, the soap star was celebrating her sister's love as she tied the knot and acted as one of her bridesmaids on the special day.

Taking to Instagram, Channique shared a string of stunning snaps in which she could be seen sporting a gorgeous one-shoulder green bridesmaid dress with her hair in perfect tight curls, sitting just on her shoulders.

She was seen alongside her sibling, who dazzled in an off-the-shoulder white gown as she gave a glimpse into both the preparations, which included sporting silky 'Bridesmaid' embroided pyjamas as they got ready, and the special day itself, which included a stroll down the beach for the newly married couple.

Alongside the post, Channique gushed: "Mr & Mrs Allen. What a joy to be beside you on your special day and the start of your forever. Congratulations to my beautiful sister and her wonderful husband, may God bless your union for the rest of your days."
