Oli McBurnie warned he'll be 'hiding behind his settee' vs Celtic as Rangers superfan goaded in radio boast

Confident Alan Brazil has warned Rangers superfan Oli McBurnie he will be hiding behind his couch when his beloved Rangers take on Celtic on Sunday.

The 28-year-old is living it up in Spain after his assist for Las Palmas in their deserved 1-1 draw with Real Madrid on Thursday night. The Scotland international – without a cap since 2020 – is turning heads in La Liga but his first love wasn't far from his mind as the Celtic-daft radio presenter predicted pain when the eternal rivals lock horns in Glasgow's east end on Sunday. When asked by Ray Parlour if he is a Rangers fan, Brazil, quick as a hiccup, interjected by stating: "He'll be hiding behind his settee on Sunday, don't worry about it."

McBurnie, who will be in action against Alaves when the big derby takes place, admits he's getting plenty of Glasgow banter in the changing room. Speaking to talkSPORT, McBurnie said: "We have got a game against Alaves. Scott McKenna who plays here is a big Celtic fan, so there is always a good bit of banter on Sunday. We'll see, we'll see."
