"Not expecting": Transfer insider drops big Rangers claim, fans surely frustrated - opinion

A key Rangers claim has been made regarding the chances of them bringing in an attacking midfielder…

Transfer insider Pete O’Rourke has all but ruled out the possibility of ES Setif gem Ahmed Kendouci joining the Gers, or their Glasgow arch-rivals, before the end of the month, despite previous reports of the club’s interest in him.

He told GIVEMESPORT: “I don’t think he’s top of their list right now. I think Celtic might be looking elsewhere for a central midfielder and I’m not expecting him to move to Ibrox or Parkhead this month.”

This update will surely leave Rangers fans feeling frustrated, particularly as the transfer window slams shut next week and the club are yet to strengthen in any of the attacking areas.

James Sands, a holding midfielder, is the only winter signing for the current season, whilst John Souttar is poised to arrive on a free in the summer.
