Newcastle vs Man City LIVE early team news and how to watch Carabao Cup semi-final
Good evening and welcome to our live coverage of Manchester City's Carabao Cup semi-final with Newcastle United.
The Blues head to the north east on the back of a thumping 10-0 FA Cup win over third tier Exeter City and know a good result tonight can set them up nicely for the return leg at the Etihad early next month. But Newcastle will be a tough opponent having won this competition last season and taken 11 wins from their last 13 games in all competitions.
Pep Guardiola is expected to name a strong side having started the likes of Rodri and Erling Haaland against Exeter on Saturday. City are still dealing with a host of injury issues and will be without the likes of Ruben Dias and Josko Gvardiol while Omar Marmoush is away at the Africa Cup of Nations. A late decision will be taken on whether to include Rayan Ait-Nouri, who has returned to Manchester but was hampered by a cancelled flight.
