Pep Lijnders press conference LIVE Man City injury news and transfer latest with Pep Guardiola absent

Manchester City head coach Pep Guardiola will not be conducting this weekend's press conference ahead of Sunday's trip to Tottenham Hotspur.

Guardiola is not available to speak to the media and will instead be replaced by his assistant head coach Pep Lijnders. The former Liverpool coach last conducted a press conference following the 10-1 thrashing of Exeter City in the FA Cup when Guardiola was banned from the touchline.

Guardiola is still expected to take the team in north London this weekend. On Thursday night, the City boss was in Barcelona speaking at an Act X Palestine event.

Lijnders will be expected to provide injury updates in his press conference this afternoon. City still have fitness concerns to contend with and a new name was added to that list vs Galatasaray - Jeremy Doku. The winger came off with a calf issue on Wednesday night.

Antoine Semenyo and Marc Guehi will be back in contention this weekend as will Rodri who was suspended for the clash in midweek. Follow all the updates from Guardiola's press conference below...

Lijnders will take over Manchester City media duties on Friday ahead of their Premier League game with Tottenham. Pep Guardiola is unavailable, so his No.2 Lijnders will be speaking to the media before the squad are back in on Saturday to continue preparations for another big Premier League test. It is the third City press conference that Guardiola has missed in the last two months. Kolo Toure spoke to reporters last month before their Premier League game at Crystal Palace, while Lijnders took the one after the 10-1 win over Exeter in the FA Cup Final - a match that Guardiola was banned for after picking up three yellow cards in domestic competitions.
