New mum Janette Manrara asks 'how' as she shares unseen snaps from baby daughter's birth as fans swoon

New mum Janette Manrara has been left asking 'how' as she shared some previously unseen snaps from her daughter's birth. The presenter and dancer welcomed her first child at the end of last month with her husband Aljaz Skorjanec.

The Strictly Come Dancing stars announced their daughter's arrival on Saturday (July 29) in social media post shared to both of their Instagram pages. It featured a black and white photo in which Janette could be seen cradling the newborn in her hospital bed while Aljaz leaned over them while beaming for the camera.

Alongside the adorable image, the pair revealed that their little girl made her entrance into the world a day earlier, on Friday (July 28), and that they had chosen the name Lyra Rose Skorjanec.

And Janette, 39, and Aljaz, 33, have since been basking in their newborn baby bliss after returning to their Cheshire home, where they moved earlier this year, after welcoming their daughter in a London hospital.

But Strictly It Takes Two host Janette has now shared her surprise at how fast the time has gone as she marked little Lyra turning a week old. Posting to Instagram, the dancer shared a couple of snaps showing her and Aljaz after the birth of their baby girl.

The new parents couldn't hide their smiles as their bundle of joy was just that as she was seen wrapped up in a blanket and laying on her mum's chest. "How is this 1 week ago already?!" Janette asked as she started the caption of her heart-melting post.

"They say babies grow fast and to enjoy the newborn stage as much as possible," she continued. "We’re doing exactly that! Happy 1 week Lyra. Mami and Ati are so in love with you."
