New mum Janette Manrara tells fans she's in 'awe' weeks after daughter's birth as she addresses Aljaz Skorjanec's future

Janette Manrara has told fans she and her husband Aljaz Skorjanec are in 'awe' as they gushed over their baby girl. It's been just over two weeks since the former Strictly Come Dancing professional dancers welcomed their first child into the world.

Janette, 39, and Aljaz, 33, announced they were expecting their first child together back in February and took fans along with them on their pregnancy journey which came after they planned to start IVF treatment before Janette fell pregnant.

And after months of updates and anticipation for the little one's arrival, the couple finally confirmed their daughter, Lyra Rose Skorjanec, had made her entrance on July 28 in a social media post alongside a sweet black and white photo of the new family of three for the first time.

Janette and Aljaz have since been sharing regular updates and in her latest post, Janette showed the new parents doting on their daughter after having to say a tough goodbye.

Making the most of the dry weather in the garden, Janette and Aljaz were seen cooing over their newborn who was wrapped up in a blanket. "In awe of you little one," the professional dancer-turned-TV presenter typed alongside the picture to her 584,000 followers with a rose emoji in a nod to Lyra's middle name.

And fans wasted no time in gushing over the family-of-three. It comes after Janette told her followers 'it's always hard' as she opened up about missing her family over the weekend. It came after she spent a 'special week' with her parents, who flew over to the UK from Miami to meet their new granddaughter.
