New Met Office weather map shows 150-mile band of snow covering England
A new Met Office weather map shows a huge band of snow over the UK on Monday night after yellow weather warnings were issued for snow and ice.
The warnings cover large parts of the UK including Northern Ireland, northern Scotland, northern England, the midlands and North Wales., with up to 20cm of snow expected to fall in some areas.
The warning came to force throughout Monday afternoon and evening, and are in place until 10am on Tuesday.

According to the latest Met Office radar map, snow is expected to start falling in the Peak District at around 6pm and spread across northern England throughout the night.
By 11pm the map shows a 150-mile band of snow will stretch from the northern Lake District to Leicestershire at around 11pm.
The Met Office weather say temperatures are set to continue to plummet in the coming days as cold arctic air sweeps across the UK - with more snowfall expected later in the week.
Forecasters have warned that the worst-affected areas may see power cuts and disruption to road and public transport amid the severe weather.
Places worst hit by the snow will be high up on hills and in the north of Scotland.
Around 13 major English cities fall under the warning, including Manchester, Liverpool, Newcastle, Leeds, Sheffield, Nottingham, Stoke, Chester, Lincoln, Derby, York, Durham and Hull.
But other areas including Bangor in North Wales, Carlisle on the North West coast and Middlesbrough as well as the whole of Yorkshire are included in the yellow weather warning.
Yellow warnings are in place across parts of northern Scotland, Northern Ireland, north Wales, the Midlands and northern England until 10am Tuesday morning.
