Nemid Bajrami lands resounding Rangers transfer endorsement as Ibrox ally pinpoints 'good time' to buy

Sergio Porrini is in no doubt Nemid Bajrami has the X-Factor that could make him a big hit at Rangers.

The Light Blues are trying to finalise a loan move to sign the attacking midfielder on-loan from Italian side Sassuolo, with an option to buy in the summer. Porrini coached the playmaker when he was with the Albanian national team and knows that it is in the final third he can really make things happen. Porrini stated: “I could see Nedim become an important player for Rangers. Nemid is doing well for the Albanian national team. He played in most of the last European Championship qualifying matches.

“He was also an important player for Sassuolo in Serie A last season. I know they have been relegated but he did well in the Italian top-flight. Nemid played mainly as a left striker or wide on the left of the midfield for Sassuolo. Rangers would be getting him at a good time. He is 25, he is a good age but he has good international and domestic experience.

“He could be a major player for Rangers. He is creative and makes things happen. Okay, he is not like Paul Gascoigne or Brian Laudrup but Nedim is a good skilful player who can excite the Rangers fans. He is can score goals and get fans off their seats.”

Philippe Clement has made an attacking midfielder, who can also play wide, a priority in the final hours of the window. Bajrami fits the bill. The fact Sassuolo have also dropped down to Serie B makes it an easier pick up for Rangers. Porrini doesn’t think the Albanian would have any issues with the pressures of playing for Rangers.
