Neil Warnock vs Pep Guardiola: Hilarious video re-emerges after Warnock announces retirement

Iconic manager Neil Warnock has called time on his career after 42-seasons in the game.

The infamous Yorkshireman has built up quite the name for himself in English football, after taking charge of more than 1600 professional games and securing eight promotions, both of which are records.

Although, for all his achievements on the pitch, it is more his outspoken and rather exuberant personality that has built up his level of notoriety and popularity off it.

Nevertheless, he’s one of the most well-known football managers in the country. You wouldn’t, however, compare him to Pep Guardiola…

The two are about as similar as chalk and cheese.

Pep is famous for his tiki-taka approach, elegance and beauty define the way his team’s play the game. Every finite detail matters, everything demands precision.

On the other hand, Warnock has always been about old fashioned grit and desire, route-one football predominantly, stick a big number nine up top and whip them crosses in.

Not that there is anything wrong with that, he’s enjoyed a bucket load of success over the years playing that way, but it just goes to show how different they are.

Or are they…

A hilarious video has re-emerged that previously went viral: “Guardiola vs Warnock- Differing Philosophies, Same Inspiration”, which showcases clips from both men’s career as a manager.

It truly is brilliant viewing. In terms of style, the two are world’s apart in how they speak to their players and handle each situation.

But as suggested in the title, everything is done for the same purpose – An innate desire to compete and more importantly, win, football matches.
