Sergio Reguilon celebrations: Video of Spurs man goes viral after Aston Villa win

Tottenham took a significant step in their quest to secure Champions League football next season when they demolished Aston Villa on Saturday evening – and nobody seemed happier about it than Spurs left-back Sergio Reguilon.

The Spaniard entered the fray after 20 minutes at Villa Park, replacing an injured Matt Doherty, with his side 1-0 up thanks to a fine strike from Son Heung-min.

It was in the second half, though, that Tottenham really put Steven Gerrard’s side to the sword and Reguilon had a front-row seat for an attacking masterclass from his colleagues.

The defender has already developed a reputation for gleefully imitating his teammates’ celebrations when they find the back of the net – and he was back at it again during his side’s 4-0 victory in the Midlands.

The Premier League’s newest copycat raced to match dance moves with Dejan Kulusevski after the Swede doubled Tottenham’s advantage five minutes into the second period.

While Reguilon was fully invested in that celebration, however, it was nothing compared to the sheer joy on his face as he marked Son’s second goal of the match by mimicking the South Korean’s trademark knee slide alongside him, before staring joyfully into his eyes.

Can you name these UEFA Champions League final stadiums?

Son completed his hat-trick with 19 minutes remaining – the icing on an ideal day for Tottenham after top four rivals Arsenal fell to a shock 2-1 defeat at home to Brighton.

Spurs fans, then, were in buoyant mood – and couldn’t get enough of a compilation of Reguilon’s fantastic reactions to his colleagues scoring uploaded by Twitter user @thfcesv2.
