Neil Warnock quips Aberdeen FC VAR checks done on Horizon computers as epic comeback spares him Cormack sack call

Frustrated Neil Warnock joked that VAR had used the Post Office’s Horizon computer to draw the lines to deny Bojan Miovski and Aberdeen a winner in Wednesday night’s six goal Pittodrie thriller.

The Dons came back from 3-0 down to rescue a point and Miovski could have won it but VAR ruled he had strayed offside. Warnock joked that the Post Office system had faulty software and the SFA’s VAR system had similar issues last night. Warnock said: “ At half-time I was constructive.

"It's a good word that! It was a mixture! The fans were brilliant at 3-0 down. They did well to stick with us and to get that goal back gave them a lift, the second set us up for the second half. Duk was an inch away from his hat-trick and VAR I don’t believe it, me. He (Kevin Clancy) said VAR is a computer. I think it’s the Horizon computer!”

Warnock admitted he thought he would be booking a flight back to Cornwall today after his side went 3-0 down. He claimed: “Never a dull moment! We lost Jensen this morning to an illness so we changed it and thought we could play that way but it showed we couldn’t.

“All credit to the boys, at 3-0 a lot could have gone under but when we made the changes we enjoyed it and I enjoyed watching them. I couldn’t complain at half-time. They had a ten minute spell where centre-halves were too deep but we tightened up.

“You can’t tell me that’s offside. I’ve seen the lines. I don’t believe it’s offside, me I don’t know how they do it, me. I was thinking what times are the planes to Cornwall tomorrow expecting a call on the bench from Dave.

“What can you say, you can go all through three midfield lads outstanding. The lads up front, Bojan worked hard without chances. The two lads Jamie (McGrath) and Duk were super.
