Navan card cancelled after snow
Today's card at Navan has been cancelled after a morning inspection, with the track deemed unfit for racing after overnight snow.
Following an inspection this morning, the course was deemed unfit for racing.
With temperatures only set to reach between two and three degrees by midday, IHRB Clerk of Navan racecourse Brendan Shheridan said the possibility of freezing rain turning to sleet throughout the morning left organisers with little option.
"Unfortunately at our inspections this morning the track remained unfit for racing and we had no option but to cancel the fixture," he said.
"Snow remains on the track and there was frost overnight last night meaning that most areas are not fit for racing."
