Napoli handed Alejandro Garnacho warning as Man United transfer masterplan dented by Liverpool

Napoli have been handed a negative verdict of Manchester United talent Alejandro Garnacho and have been recommended Liverpool's Federico Chiesa as an alternative.

Man United are midway through a tumultuous January transfer window. Incomings are sought after the bolster Ruben Amorim's squad yet departures are required to get the club in greater standing with Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR) before making signings.

To that end, no player is off limits. Garnacho was previously one of those deemed not for sale under Erik ten Hag, yet he has now fallen out of favour under new management and is reportedly Napoli's top target this month.

It is his belief that a deal with Man United's bitter rivals Liverpool would be the better option, adding: "Chiesa, on the other hand, could do well under Conte, as Federico is a great player.

"I am astonished that he hasn’t found space in the Premier League. He’s fast, physically resilient, and has excellent skills in attacking and sacrificing for the team."
