Muhammad Ali's grandson, Nico Ali Walsh, lands brutal one-punch KO

The grandson of the legendary Muhammad Ali has a lot of eyes watching him to see if he lives up to the status of his grandfather and he hasn’t had a bad start to his career.

Nico Ali Walsh has now upped his record to 5-0 as a professional boxer and his latest win was secured with a sensational knockout in the first round of the fight.

He matched up against Alejandro Ibarra in his Las Vegas debut and he ended the night making quite the statement in the early stages of what could be a very bright career.

Although Ibarra entered the fight as the underdog with a modest record, Walsh was impressive from the opening bell as he landed more effective punches and remained composed throughout.

Within two minutes of the bout, Walsh combined with a left and right to Ibarra’s head which caused him to drop flat onto the canvas. These lethal throws caused referee Russell Mora to wave off the fight.

Over the past 12 months since the beginning of his boxing journey, there has understandably been a huge amount of hype around the young boxing star.

What is unfortunate for the 21-year-old is that with this hype will come a lot of pressure to become a boxing great and he seemed very relieved with his most recent triumph on Saturday.

He seems to be taking it in his stride and remaining focused on winning fights and become as big of a success as practically possible.

“I’m bringing my grandpa back to life, and that’s why mom gets so emotional because she’s seeing her dad again and hearing her dad’s name to me.

Following his win against Ibarra,
