Motherwell seek VAR justice as they fire in video to SFA over discrepancies and speak out for scunnered fans

Peeved Motherwell have sent a video package to the SFA seeking justice over their rising concerns surrounding handballs and how VAR is used by match officials.

The Fir Park side have issued a lengthy address on their club website as they go into forensic details over perceived grievances this season which spilled over in the wake of Lennon Miller's disallowed goal against Aberdeen on Saturday for a handball on Theo Bair in the lead-up to the goal. They have even detailed the IFAB law on handball. Motherwell boss Stuart Kettlewell boiled over at the weekend as he admitted he was fed up over inconsistencies surrounding handballs.

And the club have now have listed their concerns in a video which has been posted to Hampden as they backed punters who have been left disillusioned by the interventions of VAR and how that affects the matchgoing punter. They state their feedback from the Well faithful is entirely negative and are seeking answers over their deluge of concerns.

"Following the events at our match against Aberdeen on Saturday, the club have written and submitted a video package to the SFA seeking an explanation on the rule regarding incidences of handball in the lead up play prior to a goal being scored.

"On the 28 October 2023, Eamonn Brophy opened the scoring goal in a match against Motherwell at Fir Park. In the build up to the goal, Victor Loturi handled the ball before playing the ball to Brophy who went on to score. We were informed after the match, by the Fourth Official, that due to Loturi not scoring the goal, and the handball not being deliberate, the goal was allowed to stand.
