Mike Tyson in blockbuster boxing return against Jake Paul as mega star makes guarantee

Internet star turned boxer Jake Paul is set to face off against legend Mike Tyson in his next boxing escapade.

Former undisputed heavyweight world champion Tyson, will take on Paul at the ATandT Stadium in Arlington, Texas on July 20. This will be Paul's 11th professional fight, following on from his knockout of Andre August last week. Despite previously stating he wouldn't return to the ring, Tyson, who is 30 years older than his opponent, has agreed to this one-off showcase against Paul. It's not yet clear if the fight will be professionally sanctioned or if it will be an exhibition bout.

The match will be broadcast live on Netflix, marking the streaming service's first foray into combat sports. "Whether you're team Paul or team Tyson, or whether you're a lifelong boxing fan or watching your first fight, you're not going to want to miss this event. I have a chance to prove myself against the greatest heavyweight champion of the world, the baddest man on the planet and the most dangerous boxer of all time. Time to put Iron Mike to sleep," said Paul, reports the Mirror.

Paul, who previously made headlines for his online fame, recently triumphed in the ring by defeating Ryan Bourland in his tenth professional fight. "Within just two and a half years of founding Most Valuable Promotions, we're about to produce the biggest fight in history, a fight in the biggest NFL stadium in the US, broadcast live, on the biggest streaming platform in the world," he declared.

Tyson has consistently praised Paul's transition to boxing but has pledged to be the first person to defeat him in the ring. "I'm very much looking forward to stepping into the ring with Jake Paul," Tyson stated.

"He's grown significantly as a boxer over the years.
