Micah Richards raves about 2 Rangers stars as one 'absolutely ridiculous' feat blows him away

Micah Richards has raved over Rangers pair Todd Cantwell and James Tavernier after they helped fire the Ibrox side to the top of the Scottish Premiership.

Light Blues captain Tavernier netted a penalty double in the 3-0 win over St Johnstone in Perth to take his tally for the club to 120 - level with Greatest Ever Ranger John Greig as the joint highest defender in the club’s history. The 32-year-old - who has 19 for the season - is also the third highest scorer in Scottish Premiership history with only Leigh Griffiths and Alfredo Morelos ahead of him.

Former Manchester City star was speaking on the Rest is Football Podcast with former England strike duo Gary Linker and Alan Shearer but it wasn’t only Tavernier who got his eye. He said of the McDiarmid Park match: “It was quite a good game. Cantwell is a player. He's got something. Tavernier, the right-back, has scored over 100 goals. I know he takes free-kicks and penalties but it is absolutely ridiculous."
