Micah Richards accuses Erik ten Hag of lacking respect as feud with Man Utd boss reignites

Micah Richards has accused Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag of showing "lack of respect" following his observations on England and their manager Gareth Southgate.

Richards, along with fellow football pundits Gary Lineker and Alan Shearer, brought up ten Hag's comments during The Rest is Football podcast. Their observations came after England snatched a 1-0 victory over Serbia, prompting Lineker to share ten Hag's perspective about the Three Lions' performance.

Upon hearing Ten Hag's critique, Richards pointedly accused the Dutchman of disrespecting Southgate's approach and added the phrase "glass houses". Lineker initiated the conversation by bringing up Ten Hag's observations about England's game strategy to Shearer and Richards.

He said: "He basically said England were really good, got a goal up and then Southgate decided that, as he always does, he wants to sit and be defensive, and it was really strong words."

"After a while England were playing very passive, I actually saw them moving backwards, they kept Serbia coming at them it's the vision of the manager. England take a 1-0 lead then he decides to start gambling with making his team compact, relying on moments for the remaining minutes of the game,"Lineker quoted Ten Hag as saying, reports the Mirror.
