Man United star Rasmus Hojlund sends brilliant message to Kobbie Mainoo after Denmark vs England

Manchester United striker Rasmus Hojlund has given his reaction to the Euro 2024 draw between England and Denmark.

The Dane started the Group C encounter that ended in a 1-1 draw. Harry Kane gave England the lead in the 18th minute, but Morten Hjulmand’s strike from outside of the area drew Denmark level in the 34th minute and that’s how the score would stay until full-time.

The performance from Gareth Southgate’s men has been criticised by pundits and fans, while Denmark have been praised for their part in the game. The result means the Three Lions are almost certain to be playing in the knockout stages of the competition but Denmark still have some work to do to secure their place.

While Hojlund played 67 minutes of the game, United teammate Kobbie Mainoo was an unused substitute for England. The midfielder is the only United player included in the England squad for the tournament.

Taking to Instagram after the game, Hojlund has written: “At least it won’t get awkward with Kobbie next training.”

Mainoo will be hoping to get more game time for England in the final group game. The Three Lions take on Slovenia on Tuesday night, with the midfielder’s only minutes so far coming as a late substitute in the 1-0 win over Serbia.

Denmark meanwhile take on Serbia at the same time. The top two in the group are guaranteed a place in the knockout stages, meaning that England could do the Danes a favour by beating Slovenia.
