Met Office on how hot it will get in Greater Manchester as temperatures FINALLY go up

Temperatures will soar to up to 28C in Greater Manchester this week as it finally starts to get warmer.

After what has felt like a largely miserable and gloomy summer so far it will warm up over the next few days, with Met Office forecasters predicting mainly sunny conditions for our region. From today (Wednesday), after a rainy start to the week with a weather warning issued, dry weather will set in.

Temperatures will reach highs of around 23C this afternoon in Greater Manchester with sunny and cloudy intervals expected. Thursday is set to feel even warmer, forecasters predict, with the mercury climbing to 24C during the afternoon.

Another largely dry is expected with sunny spells and cloudy intervals. Friday is set to be the hottest day of the week as temperatures soar to up to 28C.

More sunny and cloudy conditions are expected throughout the day. Saturday will feel warm again with temperatures reaching 24C.

Though forecasters predict it will feel slightly cooler and 'fresher' on Sunday with the mercury dropping to an average of around 20C. On the overall outlook for today for the North West, the Met Office said conditions will be 'largely dry and bright' with the weather 'feeling warmer'.
