Met Office latest as temperatures set to soar in Greater Manchester
It may be September but Greater Manchester is lined up for a late summer sizzler. The region is set to bask in glorious sunshine throughout Friday (September 6).
A bright and pleasant start to the morning will only keep getting warmer, according to the Met Office. Forecasters say temperatures will climb from around 17C to between 21C and 23C by midday.
But the warmest of the weather will follow after 2pm, when temperatures will climb to 24C or 25C. The Met Office says Manchester, Salford, Trafford and Wigan have a chance of seeing temperatures reach a peak of 26C at moments in the day.
